I’m going to make a long story short for you kids: It has been a rough ass week for Manhunt 2. The game has been completely banned in the UK and Ireland and given an AO [adults only] rating in the states, which induced many retail stores, such as walmart and kmart to remove it entirely from their shelves. Another crippling blow was thrown at take two interactive and Rockstar when companies such as Blockbuster, Gametap, and Gamefly joined up in the ban-wagon, stripping Manhunt 2 from their shelves as well.
Just announced: If Manhunt 2 maintains it AO rating, Nintendo, Sony, and Microsoft will completely disallow playback and the licensing of the game completely. So the big question is; should Rockstar and Take Two just dump the entire project on a whole, or dumb it down a bit, making it more kid friendly?
I’m not gonna bullshit anyone here; Manhunt is a fucking violent ass game. In the infamous “murder simulator”, I once killed a child and then used various appendages from the deceased cadaver to slaughter another kid. Personally, being the gore fiend that I am, I think thats seriously bad-ass. But unfortunately a plethora of various political parties think otherwise, which presumably is leading to the demise of the game. The funny thing is that the game is only mildly fun and since it’s origional release in 2002, Manhunt has slowly slipped into the vast, stagnant sea of mediocrity. [Whoa, Metaphors!]
So what do I think about the subject? Well, I find it ironic that Hardcore Pornography and movies such as Hostel 2 can dodge the mighty blow of the ban-hammer without much more than a mature rating or an intro page that asks you if your 18. True, aside for porn [winks*], your not directly partaking in any violent action like you would while playing a video game [ie: sawing some chicks head off with the nunchuck]. But still, I believe very strongly [especially in the case of the UK, where the Manhunt has been banned completely] that one should be able to make the moral choice himself as to whether he or she plays the game. Nuff sed.

I’ve gotten comments from a few of the dtoid staff and as stupid as it is, I feel like I’ve achieved something when they post on my site. It’s kind of my secret dream to write for them someday.
But yea, I’m definitely not “big shit”, but rather a small blog that I try to update in my free time.
